Bauxite ore is the world's primary source of aluminum. The ore must first be chemically processed to produce alumina(aluminum oxide). Alumina is then smelted using an electrolysis process to produce pure aluminum metal. Bauxite is typically found in topsoil located in various tropical and subtropical regions. The ore is acquired through environmentally responsible strip-mining operations. Bauxite reserves are most plentiful in Africa, Oceania and South America, Reserves are projected to last for centuries.

 

Application:

(1) Aluminum smelting industry. Used in national defense, aviation, automobiles, electrical appliances, chemicals, daily necessities, etc.

(2) Precision casting. The bauxite clinker is processed into fine powder for casting and then casting. Used in military, aerospace, communications, instrumentation, machinery and medical equipment fields.

(3) Refractory products. High alumina bauxite clinker has a refractoriness up to 1780℃, strong chemical stability and good physical properties.

(4) Aluminum silicate refractory fiber. It has the advantages of light weight, high temperature resistance, good thermal stability, low thermal conductivity, low heat capacity, and resistance to mechanical vibration. Used in steel, non-ferrous metallurgy, electronics, petroleum, chemical, aerospace, atomic energy, national defense and other industries.

(5) It is good to use magnesia and bauxite clinker as raw materials and add appropriate binders to pour the entire ladle barrel.

(6) Used in the preparation of various alumina in the chemical industry, abrasive materials, ceramics industry and aluminum compounds.
