Product description:

Electro fused magnesia 97.5% is produced by melting specially A grade natural magnesite or high purity lightweight magnesite particles in an arc furnace. The product has high purity, large crystal particles, compact structure, strong slag resistance and good thermal shock stability.

Produced process:

There are two kinds of production technology: one-step melting method and two-step forging and burning melting method. The one-step melting method is formed by melting natural magnesite or purified magnesite concentrate in an arc furnace at a high temperature above 2 800℃. The two-step calcination and melting method is to get the magnesite or the purified magnesite concentrate by light firing at about 1000℃ in shaft kiln or rotary kiln, and then after fine grinding and pressing, finally the electro fused magnesite is produced by high temperature melting in arc furnace.

Application:

Fused Magnesia 97.5% is the raw material for making high grade magnesia brick, magnesia carbon brick and amorphous refractory.
